January 8 - Celebrations Ahead

Harriet and I out to Fairfield Chevy's -- in pre-celebration of our 1st Wedding Anniversary (January 10), anticipating that the weather might be much worse in two days, such that it behoves us to celebrate now.  A lovely time,

on

this

sketchy

7th

day

of

Spring

temperatures,

high

up

2

to

59

(58 in Fairfield and Yolo),

with last night's high wind

that knocked out power east of us such that Davis Community Presbyterian Church service was cancelled.

Return

in

the

gray

to

play around with pictures,

which gets us quite carried away for a while...

Eventually, Family Zoom,

with many well wishes (and a first Sunday in quite a while, since the Nativity / Amahl rehearsals were taking up time -- but now we need the connection again)

With the ceiling

not any particularly worse since the severe rain / wind,

proceed to move ahead with the new 2023 blog,

including first post,

also place

Op. 342 POEME ACOUSTIQUE (October 18, 2020)

on the Complete Works site

partly in the company of

Philip Glass (b. 1937)
